When building special equipment, the choice of material is of great importance!

The stainless steel grades most commonly used in the construction of special equipment, especially by special equipment manufacturers, are 1.4301 (V2A stainless steel) and 1.4571 (V4A stainless steel).

Stainless steel 1.4301 (V2A)

In terms of corrosion, only limited resistance can be expected from this stainless steel. The resistance to chemicals is also rather low. Under certain circumstances, this stainless steel can even react sensitively to normal household cleaners, which makes cleaning problematic, as V2A stainless steel should only be cleaned with clear water. This, in turn, means that only areas with low or moderate levels of contamination can be considered as areas of use and can therefore only be recommended for normal hygiene requirements.

Stainless steel 1.4571 (V4A)
The situation is different with V4A stainless steel. It is characterized by very high corrosion resistance and can be cleaned with detergents with high chemical effectiveness. This means that this stainless steel can also be used in all areas with high hygiene requirements, such as food production and medical technology.
